England to Mongolia in a farcically small car
What is the mongol rally?
The Mongol Rally is an intercontinental adventure created by The Adventurists that has been running for over a decade, it sees a few hundred teams drive across ⅓ of the world in completely unsuitable and totally rubbish cars all in aid of various charities.
In short the Mongol Rally is not a race, there are no winners or losers. Rather; the goal is to make it to the finish line, raise a shed load of money for charity and see a large chunk of this amazing planet we inhabit along the way.
The rules
The Adventurists, who organise the rally, aren't too fond of rules so there aren't many and they're more of a rough guideline.
-
You can only take a farcically small vehicle of 1.2 litre or less
-
You’re completely on your own (no support from the organisers or anyone else)
-
You've got to raise £1000 for charity

The Logistics

As you can imagine planning a trip of this scale requires a lot of thought. It is no simple feat. From buying and prepping a car, numerous visa applications, deciding what to bring, the many many vaccinations and the task of raising our share for charity. At the end of all this however we get the reward of having a once in a lifetime adventure and the ability to share and document all of that with everyone reading here.
We're asking for help with our trip in two ways. Firstly please can you share this site and our social media pages with all your friends and family to raise awareness. Secondly we would be grateful as would the charities we are raising money in aid of (Cool Earth and the Virtual Doctors) if you could donate. All donations big or small are greatly appreciated. You can find out more information on donation and our chosen charities on the Fundraising page.
